A CHT .
bound by memory, freed by belonging. PERFORMANCE / AUDIO-VISUAL / INSTALLATION
2024
Acht explores how collective memory is fragmented and reassembled through language, folklore, and technology.   Centered on the invented story of the Princess of Eight Treasures—a migrant goddess journeying from the Netherlands to Taiwan—the work combines performance, projection, installation, and experimental storytelling.

AI-generated texts, voiced in multiple colonial and local languages, blur historical sources with machine logic,   exposing the unstable nature of postcolonial memory. Visuals mix dreamlike animation with collaged media, weaving myth with modern contradictions.

Live rituals interact with the video environment, transforming or dismantling the central myth. Acht treats folklore   as a speculative space—where memory, fiction, and identity intersect and evolve.
